OVERHAULING BRENT

Good Sunday morning everyone!

Brent's surgery yesterday went great and he's been resting all day Saturday. The healing is going painfully slow, but it's going in the right direction.

Brent was bonding with his Mom yesterday watching a show called OVERHAUL. It's a show where they take damaged vehicles and overhaul them into something better. For Mom, the show is uninteresting and slow moving. Brent loves watching it so Carolyn (Cary) watches it with him. What Brent doesn't know is he is in for a few chick flicks with him Mom soon.

Brent was injured in a major accident on Feb. 27. This young guy so badly in need of repairs is receiving a major overhaul at Regina General. He is critical and it's going to take time. After this journey is complete, Brent will become someone better and greater.

Two most major concerns at the moment:

  • Brent is feeling alot of nausea
  • Brent's blood pressure needs to stabilize

The Peterson family are grateful for you and your prayers. Thank you!

Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

  1. What incrediable endurance by all- way to go- our prayers and thoughts are with you!! Can someone address some of the practical aspects of what is happening with the Peterson family- Since they are not at home, are they staying in a hotel? Is there conversation that Brent will eventually go to a hospital in Saskatoon or is he still too unstable to be moved. Is Scot back at work or is he in Regina all the time? Is there finanical assistance needed to help get them through this time-It would be appreciated if you could let us all know how we can lighten the load for them if they are not working. Always looking forward to reading the good news of recovery!! We are cheering you all on....

  7. Last evening, our family watched an old movie entitled "The Hiding Place", which is the story of Corrie Ten Boom. Although I was familiar with some of the events of her life, I hadn't seen the movie. We found it to be quite moving, & seeing all of the hardships that her family endured helped us to realize again the power & strength that we can receive when we have the Lord in our lives. Corrie's sister Betsy said to her at one point, "There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still". Corrie carried those words with her for the rest of her life, even after losing her entire family to death in concentration camps. My prayer for you today is that you will feel God's presence with you as you journey in this "pit" right now, & just to be encouraged that our God is deeper than this pit! Not a day goes by without prayer for all of you! Rhonda

  10. Scot, Carolyn and Brent! I was thinking about you again today and praying that you are experiencing continued healing and strength! It's starting to feel a little more comforting to not have several updates in each day! At least we can know that baby steps must be happening in the right direction. I've been thinking about Katie a lot lately. It brings me peace knowing that she is at home watching over all of you. Love you lots! Stay strong! Peace be with you!

Ryan & Tanner need someone to show 'em how to chop wood for our fires out at the lake! I want to shoot some hoops again with you too, I had fun last summer when you let me in on your game!
