MERCY IS NEW EVERY MORNING

God's mercies are new every morning. Brent's surgery went very well. He had a good day on Friday. The only incident Brent encountered was that he vomited around 8:30 p.m. last night. Remember, they just started the trickle feed again to see if his body can handle it. We're hoping that his body can handle the nourishment and he will not throw up anymore. Brent's heart rate and blood pressure was great yesterday. When Scot and Carolyn (Cary) left the hospital last night, Brently's blood pressure was doing great.

It's evident that God's mercy is being extended to Brent and his family. There is hope that Brent is moving in the right direction. There is hope that small miracles are happening everyday with Brent. There is hope that one day this healing journey will be a distant memory as we witness Brent going back to healthy everyday living. There is hope.

Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

  4. God is GOOD! and He is our ROCK. I pray that you would all be comforted by the following words in Psalm 18.

Psalm 18:1,2 "I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

Loving, hoping and praying with you.

  5. So good to hear this news. Every day I turn the computer on first thing to check how Brent is doing, so good to hear things are looking better. We prayed for Brent the other night at WM, prayer for a supernatural touch from God, looking forward to hearing more good reports. Sigurd and Lila

  6. Your family has become like part of our family. We check the blog daily and pray without ceasing! It is so wonderful to see how the Lord is working in Brent's life and also Scot and Cary's. What strikes us is how we always have believed in the Lord's power but it is quite something to witness it first hand.

  7. It's amazing how my daily prayer now automatically includes Brent, as well as Scot, Carolyn and +Katie. If anything, I now pray more often throughout the day - anytime, anywhere. I am more aware of the abundance of God's goodness in my life and am thankful that He has wrapped you all in His loving, healing arms.

Little steps complete long journeys. Or, to put it another way, you eat an elephant one bite at a time. :o) Either way, be patient, keep praying, keep hoping, keep loving! So many of us are doing just that from a distance.

P.S. Perhaps Brent's recent high blood pressure was due to having to listen to the selection of music on Scot's iPod! :o) :o) ;o)

Keep fighting, Brent.....one step at a time. You have an incredibly large team praying for you and cheering you on!

  9. I am continuing to keep you all in my prayers, for Scot and Cary as you grieve over Katie and for healing for Brent. I have walked alongside 2 close friends in the last 8 years who lost their husbands in seperate car accidents. We cannot understand why, but we know that God knows and He "works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose". Romans 8:28; (Read verses 18 - 39 to see the whole context)
