  1. Brent, we are praying for you constantly!
    Scot and Carolyn, we are praying for you, too! Keep holding on to the Anchor! Keep your roots drinking deeply of Christ's Living Water. He will help you to flourish even in this time of great drought.

  2. Dear Brent;

    As I read about your amazing parents I am encouraged, but (even though we don't know each other personally!) YOU are an inspiration to me. You remind me of my little boy fighting for his own life and the many miracles he had throughout his own courageous battle. He would have been the same age as you, but he died when he was 5 after a courageous battle with a rare illness. Just as our guy was a fighter, I see that you are, too, and I want to encourage you to keep on fighting!!! SO many people are praying for you and you and your parents have so much support!!! As a mom who has seen her own child battle for life and in the past have walked the road you and your parents are on, being the ones ourselves that needed the support (and received it!) just as you do now, I want you to know that I am (and my husband!!!) are praying for you and asking God to heal your body and to restore you to your parents and the life you have ahead of you. I ask God to astound the doctors and medical staff and that your healing would be an obvious miracle that no one can make claims to except to say that, through prayer and faith, GOD has done this in your life! May your faith be strengthened and your testimony touch each person who knows you (and even those who don't) for Christ. My own faith is being tested as I pray and ask God (for what is humanly IMpossible) that He would do what is completely POSSIBLE and in His power. I pray for God to give your doctors wisdom, just as He gave a special doctor who diagnosed our son's condition and allowed us more time with him when we thought we would have to say good-bye. May God lead their decisions and give them strength with each passing day. When they don't know what to try next, I pray for new ideas and that God would work through their hands. I pray for peace for your mom and dad who love you so much and are being warriors right along side you. I pray for them to have courage in place of fear and that when fear and doubt rise up, that the prayers of others would carry them through those tough times. I pray for your comfort and that the angels that God has encamped around you would attend to your every need and that you would sense their presence and that you would feel complete peace. Most of all, I pray for each of you to not just sense God's presence at work, but to feel it in your very being...that the Holy Spirit would be at the center and that you would be completely carried by His power and strength. While our own 'miracle' has played out differently for us, and our family can relate to the loss of your sister (and daughter!) I stand believing God for you and your return to health. I ask God to give you the miracle that we are all praying for you! May you all be blessed with rest tonight after this tough day! You are ever close in thought and prayer. You will be close in heart tomorrow, especially as your family remembers Katie and celebrates the wonderful blessing that she was to you all. God bless you abundantly! With much love and constant prayers, Mrs. D

  3. May God grant you a day of peace as you celebrate Katie's life. May you be able to smile at all the great times you shared with her and may you hold to the truth that she is walking with Jesus today.
    I will continue praying for Brent as he fights hard to recover...and also continue praying for you as parents. May God put His loving arms around you today, give you a huge hug and tell you that He is still in control.

  4. Bub,
    Auntie loves this picture of you, and I pray constantly that soon you will be out hanging on trees again, acting like your silly self.
    All my love and prayers.
