SURGERY STILL IN PROGRESS

What a long day for Brent and his family. The surgery started at 9 a.m. and is still continuing. The family has received three updates thus far and everything is heading in the right direction. The surgical procedure involved is extensive and as of 5 p.m. Sask. time 60 % of the surgery is complete. Brent is still in surgery as of 7:19 p.m. The attitude in the operating room is calm and positive. Mom and Dad are hanging in there hoping for the best for their 'Little Man'.

Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

(if you leave a response to the blog, please end it with your name, and if you like, where you are from - thank you)

Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

  8. I have been praying and thinking of you all thorughout the day. I am sure this has been a long and difficult day - may you find comfort and enduring strength in the knowledge that so many are supporting you and your family; those you know and those of us whom you have never met. As the surgery continues, may God guide those involved in this operation and gve them clarity of thought and steady hands after many hours of important work.

  11. Hi Carolyn and Scot, Carolyn you were my RA in my 3rd year and Tracey Mak let me know what was happening with your family a month and a half ago. I've been praying regularly as the Lord has prompted me to check out the blog and nearly every time there has been a crisis that's the day the Lord reminded me to look at the blog. I'm continuing to pray. Love Tamara Wanner Beechy

  14. I have been following this since the beginning and have yet to comment on this blog or facebook. I do not know this family but I have friends that do, and being a mother I can't imagine what the parents are going thru, but I pray for this brave boy's recovery and that this is the last major surgery he will ever have to endure. Its been a miracle so far

  24. This morning as I checked the blog & was praying for you, knowing that Brent was in surgery, my 5 yr old, Jackson, came into the room & asked what I was doing. I told him a bit about what happened & then he wanted to see pictures, so I showed him some on facebook.... he was content and that was all the inquiring he did for the rest of the day. At 5:45pm as we were about to eat supper & rush out the door to soccer, he said, "we should pway for Bwent"... not knowing what/who he was talking about I asked him to repeat himself and he said, "Bwent - that boy - we should pway for him!" BY ALL MEANS LETS PRAY FOR BRENT! :)
You continue to be in our prayers & we're trusting that the surgery went well. Hugs!
