Brent's vitals are starting to come under control somewhat. Last night a decision was made to put Brent on a dialysis machine (this enables the kidney to function better). He will be on the dialysis machine 24/7 for awhile. The respiratory rate he is on is at 50 % (this improved since yesterday). The blood pressure is not fluctuating as much but there's still some concern here. Overall, Brent is once again taking very small steps in the right direction.
This weekend Christians around the world are reflecting and celebrating the obedience of Christ - the suffering he endured and during it all He leaned on the Heavenly Father to keep focused.
Scot and Carolyn (Cary) are doing their best to keep focused. Yesterday was a tough day for them for several reasons - the reality of Katie passing away hit them hard yesterday - the thoughts or even the possibility of Brent maybe not making it began to hit them as well. This is a huge burden for these two wonderful people to carry. I think you will agree with me that they are doing incredible during this journey. They have strong faith and the Glory of God is shining through them.
Pray for:
- the blood pressure to become stable
- the dialysis machine to be effective and speed up the necessary healing
- for Brent - that he will not be scared or confused
- the medical staff at Regina General
- the pressure and stress to be taken away from Scot and Carolyn (Cary)
Be obedient in making good choices this weekend to honor Katie's life. Enjoy your family members and friends in a new way.
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.
This is an answer to prayer...thank you for the update...we will continue to pray for all that you said. May today be a day of rest for you all. The Dyck's
ReplyDeleteWe continue to stand with you Scot & Car and believe strongly for an Easter miracle for your family. Every time I pray, I sense that God isn't finished with Brent yet. We are enjoying a sunny day in Edmonton as well! I was reminded today of the words of Asa in 2 Chronicles 14:11 when he was up against what looked like an impossible situation...
ReplyDelete"...Lord it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude."
The words of this old hymn are based on the above scripture:
We Rest On Thee by Edith G. Cherry 1895
Music: Finlandia by Jean Sibelius
We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender!
We go not forth alone against the foe;
Strong in Thy strength, safe in Thy keeping tender,
We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go.
Yes, in Thy Name, O Captain of salvation!
In Thy dear Name, all other names above;
Jesus our Righteousness, our sure Foundation,
Our Prince of glory and our King of love.
We go in faith, our own great weakness feeling,
And needing more each day Thy grace to know:
Yet from our hearts a song of triumph pealing,
“We rest on Thee, and in Thy Name we go.
We rest on Thee, our Shield and our Defender!
Thine is the battle, Thine shall be the praise;
When passing through the gates of pearly splendor,
Victors, we rest with Thee, through endless days.
God Bless you all!!!I pray for rest for the whole family and let them rejoice in the Lord forever and ever. Amen

ReplyDeletePastor Clark & Family;
ReplyDeleteYou are in my prayers also. Being my father was a (Penticostal) Pastor I understand your hearts concerns. I am so thankful you keep us updated. Your family is in my prayers too.
There are lots of people praying for this family , I know you are aware of this. I've emails several Ministers who have witnessed miracle's. Attending Kathran Kullman's meetings in 1972 and having several miracles of Divine healing in my life and my families life.
One of my sister had Two kidney transplants plus a sister inlaw who also had two transplants. I got a call saying my sister wasn't expected to live the night. I walked the floor calling out to God reminding him of His word and taking authority over the spirit of death. The Lord raised her up.The same for my sister inlaw.God gets ALL the GLORY as I'm just a tool in His hands. God is no respecter of persons.
Thursday Peterson's update the tears flowed. Our son came through after putting him on several prayer chains, people who believed in miracles.
Everyone is praying daily. Everday I go to the Blog not in doubt but in Faith. Prayers of Faith continually going up before the throne and I believe miracles can happen as fast as a tragety. Standing on the promises of our God.
God has a storehouse of new organs and I'm calling them forth for Brent. He can create new organs. Nothing is impossible with our God.
Br and Sister Peterson let others believe for you and like the poem the footprints let him carry you through. We know God has the final word and we are contenting for this miracle.
Yesterday I took time out of my afternoon and quoted the 39 scriptuers out of a little book called "The 39 Strips Of Jesus"
Each scripture is believing for miracles for oneself or others.
Rest in His arms and find strength.
In Christ
Dear Scot, Cary and Brent,
ReplyDeleteYesterday, me and two teacher friends took a long walk on the island in the Nile. We picked seeds from a thorny bush, a weed really. Inside a lantern like casing there are three little black seeds. On eack seed there is a perfect white heart. God, who cares to put a perfect white heart on each little seed ona thornyu weed in Sudan, will also keep his hand over you.
Love, Eva
Scot and Cary:
ReplyDeleteWe continue to ache for you and pray for you as you live moment by moment. May God surround you with His love and peace. We are praying for healing for Brent. For you our prayer is that you will feel God's presence, wisdom, peace and strength - just enough to take you through today, and then tomorrow enough for tomorrow.
Yours. . . His. . .
Daryl, Rowena and Shaya
Carolyn and Scot my heart goes out to both of you. You guys are stronger than I can ever imagine. Keep up the good work. I will continue to pray for Brent's recovery and for strength for his parents
ReplyDeleteMary D
We completely agree with the letter written three posts above. We are holding you up in faith. We have seen many miracles in our lives. God does not pick favorites. He cares just as much for Brent as He did for us. We are standing in faith for Brent's healing and we believe he will rise out of that bed and leave that hospital singing, "Look what the Lord has done....Look what the Lord has done....He healed my body, He touched my mind, He saved me, just in time, oh I'm going to praise His name...Each day is just the same, Come on and praise Him...LOOK WHAT THE LORD HAS DONE!!!!!!!!! That healing comes just in time. That song became our motto and the theme of our lives. God never leaves us behind and stranded. Rest in God's loving arms and let friends and family hold you up in faith and prayer. We love you guys even though we do not know you. We pray that you would walk in peace and confidence in Him and in His Word because He is love. We look forward to reading the good reports that are to come. Hugs to you. Michelle and Greg Dueck
ReplyDeleteYou are in my thoughts and prayers, Scot and Carolyn, and Brent. God is watching over you, and holding you tight, bud. Stay strong. We all miss you. Scot and Carolyn, keep the faith strong<3. God's power is released when his people pray, and we're all praying.

We are also relieved to hear of the small steps in the right direction. Brent, keep fighting! We believe that God will heal you and your life will be a powerful testimony for Him! Scot and Car, praying for a good rest for you both tonight as you are exhausted. We pray that the Lord would renew your strength and help you to keep pressing on. We love you all!
