Hey everyone,
Brent is bouncing back well. Brent is healing well and having some more great moments being alert and responsive. Tonight, Scot and Carolyn (Cary) came back after shift change to find Brently and the nurse playing the Wii. They were playing a game of pool and Brent would set up the game (isn't that great - acting more like a normal teenager :) ).
Carolyn (Cary) is beginning to read the Chronicles of Narnia to Brent and he's enjoying that immensely. Scot and Carolyn (Cary) end each day by praying with Brent in his room. Tonight, Brent was extremely tired which means he'll have a great sleep.
'Little Man' is bouncing back in the right direction. Keep it up Brent - we're cheering for you. :)
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

So thankful for this positive update. What a journey....what a testimony. Continuing to end each day praying for you all. Brent will have to spend the next 5 years meeting all the people who were upholding him in prayer from all over the world. Can't wait....my daughter will say, "So you're the little man we prayed for!" What a joyous time that will be. Still hoping, still praying .
ReplyDeleteI knew in my heart when I read about Brent (and posted a comment on April 3) that he would be just fine. It's a long process, takes plenty of patience and prayer and fortitude, but keepers of the faith know, too, that God truly does work in mysterious and wonderful ways and we've learned, once again, the power of prayer. God Bless...keep praying!
ReplyDeletewhat absolutely wonderful news! God is near at all times. We will continue to pray for complete healing.

Donavon was out of town for Easter and got home yesterday and I saw him on the computer right away and I asked what he was doing and he said I'm just checking on "Brent"
he was so releaved that he's doing better!
I hug and kiss my boys more than I did before, teenagers or not. It makes us realize how special they are when we read the journey that you guys have been on.
Brent...we trust you will have a great day today!

Thank You, Lord, for the miracle of healing You are performing in Brent and for the returning health and strength of Scot and Cary's son!!! We know that we are not promised 'tomorrow', but we especially thank You for each of the 'todays' that You have given Brent through the ups and downs of these past few weeks and we especially thank You that we have a rainbow of hope for the tomorrows that are ahead and that You are in charge of each one, knowing exactly what will happen and what the Peterson family will need each step of the way!! Thank You, Lord, for renewed hope and for the power of prayer as we see the miracle that is happening before us in Brent's precious life. We give You the praise and the glory for what has been, is and will be done in Brent's life, and in Scot and Cary's as well. As Brent heals physically, we pray for continued healing of the grief that permeates their hearts over the loss of their precious daughter and sister, Katie. Give peace and comfort in knowing that she is safe and present with You, and with the full knowledge that they will be reunited with her in heaven someday but also help them through the moments that they feel overwhelmed with their loss until that time comes. We thank You for what You are doing in this beautiful family and for the answers to prayer that we see unfolding day-by-day! In Jesus' name, Amen
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to read about the progress for Brent and his family...Praise God...may we all count our blessings and realize what we take for granted every day...Keep up the good work Brent!
