The test is done and the right lung has not collapsed - that is good news. Brent is suffering through an allergic reaction however. The medical staff will continue their watch over him in ICU. Once things stabilize, Scot and Carolyn (Cary) will make their way to Saskatoon.
Continue to hope and pray. Continue to send strength and love to these wonderful parents who are on adventure they never wanted.
We're cheering you on Brent! We're cheering you on Scot and Carolyn (Cary)!
Heavenly Father, through the name of Jesus and by the power of your Holy Spirit we pray you would heal Brent and strengthen Scot and Carolyn (Cary).
AMEN.
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

Thank you so much for these updates. We watch constantly and pray fervently. How we pray for Brent and that Scot and Cary will be free to leave Brent for the day and go to honor Katie. May the Lord give stability to Brent and peace to Scot and Cary.
ReplyDeleteHoping, loving, and praying always. God will be watching over Brent as we celebrate Katie Rose and what a wonderful person she was, and all the hearts that she touched in her beautiful 16 years. I know my life and my son's lifes have all been touched by her strength and beauty.

Thank you for the update.
ReplyDeleteI pray that Brent has a peaceful night and his parents have a safe journey to Saskatoon. I pray for him to remain stable while his parents celebrate his sisters life. I pray to that his parents have a safe journey back to see him tomorrow.
I cannot tell you how often you come to mind day and night and I pray for you folks. Sometimes it seems I can't find the right words to pray. However, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with words that we can't express. God bless you and keep you in His care in a special way tonight.

Almighty God, we come before your throne on behalf of Your child, Brent. He needs You as the Great Physician to strengthen him and heal him as only You can. Take over his body completely, wipe out the infection, calm his heart, strenthen his lungs, lower his blood pressure, and provide the right answer to this allergic reaction. Work through his doctors and guide their every move, thought, and word. Make Brent a true miracle of Your work, so others may see Your mighty power. We ask You to heal Brent completely, Lord, and let him and his parents rest tonight. We ask these things in Your holy name, amen.
ReplyDeleteScot & Cary, may the Lord give you the energy to continue and the rest you need. We're praying for you all continually.

ReplyDeleteIn the distance I can see the storm clouds coming my way,
ReplyDeleteAnd I need to find a shelter
Before it starts to rain,
So I turn and run to you Lord;
You're the only place to go,
Where unfailing love surrounds me
When I need it most.
CHORUS
You're my hiding place;
Safe in your embrace,
I'm protected from the storm that rages
When the waters rise,
And I run to hide;
Lord, in You I find my hiding place.
(Steven Curtis Chapman)
We are praying for you.
