What a good Sunday. Brent is doing well today. There was a moment this morning where the blood pressure was causing concern, but the blood pressure is doing fine now. We all must remember that this healing journey is going to be slow and sometimes full of surprises or setbacks. The important part for us is to support through prayer, encouragement and hope.
Some quick Sunday facts about Brent:
- the dialysis machine is going back on right now for 2 1/2 hours. Brent's potassium level is too high and this is standard procedure
- the blood pressure is getting more stable
- sitting in an inclined position today (with the aid of the bed of course)
Keep praying for the Peterson's. Prayers are being answered and your encouragement is warmly received. Scot and Carolyn (Cary) extend their heartfelt thanks to you all for your interest and prayers for their son, Brent.
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

ReplyDeleteI am so grateful for the reports I am hearing. We have a good God - I know that you have experienced Him these days, through the good and the bad.
May you rest in His love and His care, and also in the knowledge that those around you are upholding you in their prayers.

Hey there my brother and sister - this is Chuck. I just wanted to pass on some things to you, and just to let you know some places you are being prayed for: in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
ReplyDeleteThis is a message from possibly a mutual acquaintance, Debbie Judt, "I have been following the blog the whole time.
What an amazing family, WHAT AN AMAZING GOD!!!
Deb
He is Risen, He is Risen indeed.
Here is a message from my cousin, Julie, in Kansas, "Hi Chuck, I can feel the anguish in your words. Even though I do not know these people I can sense the deep love you have for them. God loves you And the Petersons and will not abandon you, even in their deepest sorrow. Faith in the Lord leads to trust. We need to trust the Lord that He is in control, because HE is!! I will continue to pray for all of you and ask the Lord to send His Blessings. May the Lord wrap all of you in His loving arms this Easter. Love and hugs sent your way!! Your Kansas cousin, Julie
Also, a friend of mine who ran a CSSM camp out in MacGregor, Manitoba for many years, Dave & Colleen Spelliscy, "Hey Chuck; Just thought we would let you know that Macgregor,Mb. is praying for Brent, his parents and the truck driver. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to pray for this young man and his family.
A friend of mine here in Saskatoon, Gary Graham, and older gentleman who has gone through a lot of hardships in life sent this message, "Hi Chuck: I will continue to pray for this couple's child as it is devastating to lose a child. My mother knew this when she lost the brother next to me.
And a good biker friend of mine here in Saskatoon, Sandy Epp, sent this prayer,"Pray believing. Start thanking Him for the healing He is about to do. Call on a church in Regina who has someone in the healing ministry to anoint Brent and lay hands on him. Perhaps this has been done already? Jesus is here and His Kingdom i!s here. Jesus is a healer, and so I say to you, Brent, in the name of Jesus, receive your healing! Thank you Jesus. Guard this family and restore them speedily, Lord.
Have you been hearing some noise in the darkness in the past number of weeks? Do you know what that noise is? It is everyday people, just like you, and they have come, with their shovels in hand, in the dark time of your life, and they are standing with you, beside you, many whose names you will never, ever know this side of heaven, sleeves rolled up, sweat pouring from their brow, shovels slicing into the soil, helping you to remove that mountain. My good friends, YOU - ARE - DEFINITELY - NOT - ALONE!!! Your family - the brothers and sisters of our Father - have come to help you stand, and when you have done all - to stand firm. They are standing in the gap for you. I love you guys. Be encouraged, and be filled with praise - God has a really big thing for you guys. Oh - yeah, and my theory for why it has taken so long for Brent to heal...because God has been very busy with him having a big conference, sometimes without even Brent knowing it - and He NEEDED this time with Brent.
Your friend,
Chuck Chansler (CC Rider)
What a terrific weekend this has been! Scot & Cary, you must be absolutely thrilled with these signs of progress.
ReplyDeleteBrent is an inspiration to all of us. We will probably never know the pain he has been in or the battles he will face in the days going forward, but we do know he is a trooper and a fighter and we are all so proud of him.
We continue to pray for Brent's recovery and for Scot & Cary (what awesome parents)!
Rest well. Stay strong. Know that you are not alone.
Scot, Carolyn and Brent!
ReplyDeleteGod is GREAT! It is so thrilling to read these posts and know that your life, commitment and faith are building and strengthening faith for many people around the world!

The things that are taken for granted by so many are wonderful steps forward for Brent. We want you all to know that we are thinking about all of you and praying for all of you each day. WE must not take even the slightest thing for granted. Carry on the greatest work you can do, helping Brent get stronger.
