Brent's condition is still very critical. The vital organs need to work together and this is a challenge right now for Brent. Also, Brent's heart rate is way too high. This is the most serious stage Brent has been at since his injuries. The healing process is agonizing, but we continue to wait, pray, and hope.
THANK YOU for all your responses so far. You need to know they are huge in providing support to Scot and Carolyn (Cary) right at this moment. Please when you read this leave a comment.
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.
We'll keep you posted.......

ReplyDeletemy quiet time with the Lord yesterday was filled with tears for your family as I cannot imagine all that you have gone through within a month! However, there is One who understands all and He is still your God. " Even though the Petersons go through the valley of the shadows of death, they shall fear no evil, For God is with them, His rod and His staff shall continue to protect and comfort them"
We love you dearly and cannot but keep you in our prayers. Scot and Cary, you are both precious parents and I know that you will come out filled with great testimony from this. We stand by you in faith.

Dear Scott and Cary, Couldn't sleep after leaving my evening shift at work and hearing the latest re Brent... so prayed often. The one thought that kept coming to my mind is something I have written on paper and stuck up in almost everyroom in my house for those times in my own life when I feel overwhelmed... so I wanted to share this simple mantra with you, and maybe you can write it on a sheet of paper and hang it where you see it often. here it is :

ReplyDeleteI pray right now for all of the Peterson family, but especially for Brent that the Lord will hold him in His loving arms and heal his entire body. "Faithful One, so unchanging, ageless One you're my rock of peace. Lord of all I depend on You. I call out to You--again and again...You are my Rock in times of trouble. You lift me up when I fall down. All through the storm, your love is the anchor. My hope is in You alone."
And as we leave Edmonton right now to travel to SK, we will "call out to God again and again" for his healing touch on Brent, comfort and strength to parents S & C; grandparents H & M; Auntie N and Uncle J, P. & T.

Besides the neverfailing, powerful, loving presence of Jesus at Brent's and your sides, Janice and I too have joined the many who think of you daily, and pray for God's healing and sustaining presence in your lives. For some reason God has considered you worthy to entrust this heart rending, gut wrenching trial into your lives. We can only stand with you in Christ's name.
