THE INFUSION

Our heart goes out to the LITTLE MAN who is fighting hard everyday through this BIG challenge. The blood pressure is the main issue that we need to pray for it to become stable. Brent is now receiving a steady infusing of blood pressure medication to help control his blood pressure. They believe that the fluctuation in blood pressure is pain related. Please pray:

  • the pain that Brent might be feeling to go away totally
  • the blood pressure to become stable
  • the surgery that is happening on Wed March 18
  • the skin to continue to heal and become more pink
  • healing around the vac dressing
  • the trachetomy - that there would be no complications and help Brent feel comfortable

PROUD OF SCOT - Scot is a great father. Through all this stress his faith in Christ has given him strength and he remains hopeful. Today was a big day for Scot as he travelled back to Saskatoon to take care of a few things. This was a first that needed to happen and I'm sure was challenging for him. After taking care of some necessary stuff in Saskatoon, Scot travelled with his mom safely back to Regina tonight.

Please continue to pray for the Petersons, for Katie's and Brent's friends, the medical staff at Regina General and for complete healing for Brent. Pray for Katie's Memorial that is happening on April 3. THANK YOU!!

  1. I am vigilantly praying for all of you and especially Brent! My heart has broken for you and I have wept my prayers for your family, and cried with Nadine over the phone. May your faith not be shaken, may you stand firm on the Foundation. Lord God, only You can heal Brent and guide the surgeons' hands and take away any infections for You are the one true great Physician. I ask that you protect, strengthen, calm, and heal this young man and restore him to complete health. Please comfort his family in the way only You can, Lord Jesus. In Your precious and holy name, amen. Scot and Carolyn, you can count on my prayers.

    God bless,
    Claudia Shafer

  2. Dear Peterson family, I have never met you, but my son Michael played soccer with Brent last season, and so we have been trying to keep up with what is happening. We too experienced tragedy last year when our son,(16 at the time) was hit by a car on his way to school) He was in intensive care for 3 wks, and in coma for 8 wks. Even though I know their injuries are different, I do remember sitting beside him, with all that equipment, not knowing what each day would bring. I just want you to know that I am praying for your family, and I know that God is truly good, and was there for us- all the way through, especially on the really bad days. By the way, my son just came home, so there is hope! Don't ever forget it!, or let anyone tell you different!

  3. Dear Peterson Family;
Have not met you but we are the body of Christ and when one hurts we all hurt. Our son was in a terrible accident in 1987 we had him on 5 Prayer Chains, he had tremendous results from people praying. I have sent requests for Brent and you all again this am.
My sister Grace is best fiends of Brents grandparents.
I will continue to believe for your miracle.
God loves miracles. I think of the Centurian who said just speak the word and his servant was healed as Jesus just spoke the word. We are speaking life for Brent.
    Blessings
    Marie

  4. Scot & Cari,
You are amazing. Having spent time with you these past few weeks during the most difficult time of your lives, has been an encouragment to us. You are real and honest with us, and still your faith in God has shone through so strongly. You remind us all of what is truly important in life.
With every breath we are lifting Brent before our Lord because we believe that He has the perfect plan for Brent's life. We can't even begin to understand how it will unfold, but we trust with you.
Always know our love and prayers are surrounding you and lifting you up.
    Jan, Mattias, Reid & Kiersten
