We are requesting you pray for Brent at this moment. Brent endured a major seizure within the last hour. He is currently undergoing a CT scan and the medical staff is trying to figure out what is causing this action. Scot and Carolyn (Cary) obviously were caught by surprise by this event as Brent was having a great day today. When the CT scan is done, Brently will be heading back to ICU where he will stay to receive greater care. Another unexpected change in the course of this healing journey. The one thing that will never change is the power of the Heavenly Father that we trust. This power is with Brent and his parents. Please pray for healing, wisdom (for the medical staff), and peace.
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

Brent, something I always get my kids to repeat after me when they are scared is, "For God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love and power and a sound mind."
ReplyDeleteThis is another prayer I used to pray when I was afraid:
Father we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus and the covenant of blood, and we rebuke fear, doubt and unbelief. Your word says that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of love power and a sound mind and that God is Love. I(you) have God living in me(you) so fear and torment go far from me NOW in Jesus name. I refuse to let my heart be troubled or afraid. Body I speak to you to be at peace to relax and rest, muscles and nerves be at peace. I rest in total peace and confidence in Jesus name, Amen.
Hang in there Brent, you are champion, a great and mighty warrior. As we look down the road into the future we know that one day we will get to meet you as you share your testimony on the great and awesome power of Jesus and His healing hand on your life.
Scot and Cary I pray that prayer over you as well, that your minds, bodies and spirits would relax and be at peace and rest in total and complete faith and confidence in Him. He will sustain you and uphold you with HIs righteous right hand.

You're always in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong. Hopefully the reason for the seizure will be revealed and dealt with promptly by the medical team. Trust in God, trust in the medical team and try to rest in between. Trust that Brent will continue to fight the battle.
