Temper Temper

Brent had a temper tantrum. Brent was so frustrated with taking so long to walk, that he was still in bed, and that he couldn't get comfortable.

Continue to pray for:
Pain in Brent's back.
Pain in Brent's left hand.
Brent's nausea - he threw up again today.

Highlights:
Riders beating Edmonton!!!! Yahoo!!!!!
Brent got up in the chair 3x today.
Diana from 6A gave Brent a Rider hacky sack.
Brent went to MPICU for a visit.
Mom is having a sleep over in Brent's room.

Thank you for your prayers.
Keep hoping. Keep loving. Keep praying.

  1. Bubs,
It's okay to be frustrated. I think the rest of us would have had a temper tantrum LONG before this if we were walking in your shoes (or lying in your bed on the 5th floor of Regina General!!)
I'm sorry that you were nauseous again today. People are praying for you, and I know that gives you comfort. Tee and I prayed for you tonite.
I know you'll have a good sleep with Mom by your side tonite.
You are a very strong, courageous guy, and you have God on your side. There's many people who read this blog who don't really know what a Godly character you have..I wish they could see how gentle, kind, compassionate, and thoughtful you are for a 15 year old boy. Even though you're in your 7th month in the hospital, and with all you've gone through, you still remind me that you pray for me daily! You are such a good boy, and I'm very proud of you.

  2. Hey bud, Auntie Dean is right (I don't say that too often so listen up:)! You are walking a road that none of us understands, or wants to, and are walking it holding onto God's hand. We are proud of you for that, and so is God.

We all wish that you could walk right away and come home so we understand that frustration. We will continue to pray that you will receive the strength you need for this day and leave tomorrow in God's hands.

To see you on your feet and working at walking again is also a huge miracle. There were, and possibly still are, people who never thought you would walk again. You and God are working a miracle and we love it!!

You are loved by so many people and are inspiring so many more by your deep trust in Jesus Christ. Each day you touch another life in a fresh way because God is working through you. "Throw your cares on God because He cares for you".

    Love you lots,
    Auntie Jan

  3. Music to the ears....showing some frustration....like hearing the first cries from a baby. Good for you, Brent. Show how frustrated you are. You should be frustrated! Anyone would be frustrated after the journey you have endured. Stay strong, brother. YOU WILL OVERCOME, and you are an inspiration to many. Hope you get strong enough to show your frustration by high tailing it out of there!!
Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Prayers from unknown brothers in Toronto.
