Day 192 - Yah Riders

Brent had a restful day, and slept most of the day. His back spams are a little better than yesterday.
Way to go Riders!!!! Next week will be no mercy on Winnipeg (right John Chick and Stevie Baggs).

Continue to pray for:
Pain in Brent's back (Spasms).
Pain in Brent's left wrist.
Pain in Brent's feet (ankles and toes).

Highlights:
Grandpa and Grandma Peterson came for a visit.
Tammy, Carla and Shauna from MPICU came up for a visit.
The Riders winning AGAIN against Winnipeg (Losers, AGAIN).

If you are leaving a message for us to read please leave your name and where you are from. It is very encouraging to read where everyone is from. Thanks.

Thank you for your prayers.
Keep hoping. Keep loving. Keep praying.

  3. Dear Brent, Scot & Carolyn,
We have been holding you close in heart these last few days-as always. So sorry to hear of the pain you have to endure in this process, Brent-but be encouraged. "God is our refuge and strength an ever present help in trouble". Psalm 46:1 A reading from a book called Streams in the Dessert reminds us "That God uses trouble to teach His children valuable lessons-and when their good work is done, a glorious reward will become ours through them. There is sweet joy and a real value in difficulties, for He regards them not as difficulties but as opportunities, selected.
Not always out of our troubled times,
And the struggles fierce and grim,
But IN- deeper IN-to our sure rest,
The place of our peace, in Him.

When God tests you, it is a good time to test Him by putting His promises to the test and then claiming from Him exactly what your trials have made necessary.Recognize the trial as a chalenge from God to claim a larger blessing than you have ever had before and accept it as an opportunity of receiving a greater measure of God's grace. In this way, even the Adversary becomes a help to us and all the things that seem to be against us turn out to assist us along our way. "In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Romans 8"37 " -excerpts written by Annie Johnson Flint and A.B. Simpson. Sharing all of this with you along with our continued prayers for your complete healing, Brent, and for you-Scot & Carolyn as you put all of your trust in the One who calls you His own. Love you all- Daphne and Cathy.

  6. We have been following this story since the beginning - and please know that people unknown to you have been praying and thinking of you all. As parents, we can only imagine what Scot and Cary have been going through and are hearts are full of emotions for each and every step that you have been going through.
Brent - wow - you have come so far, and will continue to do so. Can't wait for the day when you get released from the hospital and you can begin healing from home.

  8. Hi Brent,
Just wanted to drop by and say HEH!!! I am so glad that your surgery went well on Thursday. You are in my prayers buddy, and I know that there are tons of people that don't know you on a personal level who are praying for you and your family too! We can't wait to get you back to Youth, and I know Jachin can't wait to give you a high five. When we talk about you that is one thing he says that he remembers you by, high fives and that fancy grey tweed like hate that you would wear!
It was great to see your smiling face on the screen at Summer Sizzler, and you doing the actions was cool!
Hope you are doing good! Say hi to your parents for me...
Praying for you guys and think about ya lots!
    Love ya,
