WAITED ALL DAY FOR FOOD

Brent had another great day today! The 38 th surgery was scheduled for today and he could not eat until the surgery was over. The surgery happened tonight from about 7:45 to about 9 ish. Now when the surgery occurs Brent is rolled into a recovery room before he can go back to his room on the sixth floor. After waiting awhile in the recovery room he asked if he could go back to his room because he couldn't wait to eat (awesome isn't it!). Brent enjoyed having macaroni soup.

Brently had some visitors today. People who were staff and family of patients in the MPICU came by for a visit.

Dr. Saczek is doing an awesome job with Brent. The family is very grateful for this doctor and all the medical staff at Regina General.

Scot said that after the surgery tonight he can't believe how small the open incision looks now. Scot said it looks incredibly small.

It's all coming together.

Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

  3. Hey Brent!
You are improving in leaps and bounds! That is fantastic. I read the previous blogs with tears streaming down my face. You have touched many with your courageous 'journey'. I hope that each day brings you more strength, both physically and emotionally.

What's on the menu tomorrow? Nachos and cheese? Tacos? Hospital food? I'm glad that your appetite is back and you have something to look forward to.

Rest well tonight, live your faith.
You are doing a great job!

Cary and Scott, I hope that you are also resting more comfortably and taking a little time for yourself.

You are always in my prayers and I'm thankful that God has guided your miraculous recovery. I am hopeful that He will continue to do so.

  5. Prayers for this courageous young man and his parents continue. I visit the site most days and am being blessed by these writings.

Today praying for Brent's scary thoughts to disappear -- for him to be able to work through all the events of the recent past in a positive way.

May God's love for each of you surround you in a powerful way.

  6. This is so cool to read! Last week, the day before reading that Brent was moved out of ICU, I had a dream that his abdomen was almost closed up - it was just a small opening...and now that is what is happening!! Praise God!!
