"Little man" is fighting through. His condition is still the same (critical). The good news is he rested very well during the night and the new medication is working well.
Pray for:
- the infection to go away
- healing for his abdomen and aorta
- his body to become stronger
- for Brent's situation to become stable
- for a miraculous healing
- Scot and Carolyn - they need a release from all this stress and comfort as they grieve the loss of Katie
- for all of Brent's friends - a peace beyond all understanding
- the amazing medical staff at Regina General
Just a reminder: Memorial for Katie in Saskatoon on Friday April 3 at 1 p.m. at Elim Tabernacle
Psalm 34:7 - "God's angel sets up a circle of protection around us while we pray"
Let's expect a miracle today!
Scot and Carolyn send their thanks to all of you.....
Pray without ceasing......
Dear Scot & Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteYou are always in our prayers and our hearts, remember Gods promise, I Am the Lord that Healeth Thee. He IS (not was) a miracle working God and nothing is too hard for Him to do. We love you!

Continuing to pray for your family as I go about my day. May you feel God's peace surrounding you and His love enfolding you. I pray for healing for your precious young man and that he will astound his doctors and cause them to see God's miraculous touch on all of your lives. God bless!

ReplyDeleteYou have been in my thoughts and prayers since I learned of the accident. My heart aches for your loss of Katie and for the ongoing battle for Brents health. I have two young children and I cannot imagine life without them!
I know without a doubt that God never leaves us to deal with any situation alone. He gives us strength to carry on. It is our faith and the prayers of others that helps us through tragedy and trials. I pray that your faith will be UNSHAKEABLE! I already know that there are many surrounding you and Brent with unceasing prayer.
These words from Phil 4:6-7 have been important to me (taken from The Message):
Do not fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of Gods wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It is wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
May God fill you with peace every moment of every day! I am praying...

Hi, you don't know me but I am Rachelle Lanoie's mom. She called me and told me about the accident. Some of my friends know your family too. I have been and will continue to pray for you and for Brent. May God surround you with his close presence and hold you all in his arms during these days.
ReplyDeleteFrom Irvin & Grace: We are constantly praying for you Brent--that the Lord would raise you up as He is able!
ReplyDeleteScot & Carolyn: there is a host of people earnestly praying for Brent (many of our former College friends, and our church here as well as the Evangel Church prayer chain in Kelowna). May God strengthen you and give you His peace during these most difficult days.
From Jodine and Lowell Wiebe: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We cannot imagine the grief you feel at this time. Please take comfort in knowing that there are at least 2 separate prayer groups praying for you all, from Meadow Lake. The love of the Lord is immense, and I take such comfort when, the first thing people say is 'we will get our prayer group to pray for you" Please know that our prayers are with you moment by moment.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn...My heart goes out to you guys. I am so sorry to hear of this season you are in right now. Katie is your Angel now always watching over you and protecting you all...especially Brent at this time. I am in the same Bible study group as Pete & Kim, you guys are in our prayers. You have been in my thoughts and prayers the moment I heard about the accident. Carolyn, I wish I could wrap my arms around you and take some of the pain away. Love Jennifer (Penner) Derksen
ReplyDeleteDear Scot and Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteWe hope you know we are all praying for you and especially for Brent. We are so grateful for this blog that keeps us updated on things but also that it lets you know how many people care. We are praying that God will continue to uphold you and walk with you during this horrific time.
Love
Cort, Angela, Ashley and Christopher
Scot and Carolyn: As a nurse that has cared for many "critically" ill patients over the years, we need to remember that GOD is in control. When all hope seems lost, and things aren't going well, that's when GOD truly shines. For many years I have seen him work miracles in the lives of so many, and for Brent, will be no different. I have contacted my associates in Southern Lousiana and have had yours and Brent's name added to a Global Prayer Network as well as this blog site. Never, Ever give up hope. Continue to pray.
