Hey everyone! Brent is resting and waiting for the swelling to go down. Blood pressure has been a bit of an issue today as well.
Good news - Brent has not thrown up for awhile which is great. Today, Brent went in his chair and went for a little ride on the second floor. He noticed the drink machine. He kept pointing and made it clear that he wanted an iced tea. Brent had some sips of that iced tea. How good it must have felt to have something like iced tea again!
It's the small things in life we all appreciate....
Keep hoping.Keep loving.Keep praying.

Hahaha Brent... you are so like me. After a while ice chips just don't cut it and you need something different. For you it was iced tea.. for me.. Pepsi. Keep it really dude, you are doing great.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rides and I hope your Dad is a better driver than my Mom and Step dad were with the chair.
Hugs and love,
Sheila

We often forget to appreciate the little things - these messages of Brent's small successes and steps forward are uplifting for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI am including a poem on prayer that has been very inspirational to our family as we have gone through illnesses.
The Power of Prayer
No matter how softly you whisper a prayer
Someone must surely be listening there
Who understands well...
And knows from the start...
The hopes and the fears
You keep in your heart...
For whenever you turn
To that Friend up above
And ask for His Guidance
And trust in His love
What wonders may be no one can say...
Miracles happen sometimes when you pray.
Nobody knows the power of prayer
To turn the clouds back
And make the day fair...
But troubles are lightened and faith is restored
When in quiet moments you pray to the Lord.
