Day 277 - Busy day after the Rider loss

Boo Hoo. What a pathetic ending to a terrific season.
We will get back there again next season and it will end differently.

Brent's blood clot is getting smaller. Please pray that the echo on this coming Friday will show that it is gone. When this happens Brent will be able to once again leave the hospital for Youth and or Church.

Day 268 - Playing Wii

Concerning the blog updates, when there is not a daily update there is always a reason . We understand you are concerned and we appreciate that. Please understand sometimes there are reasons why we have been unable to update daily. Please be sensitive to this.

Regarding those inquiring about the cross on the roadside ... it is not that we are forgetting Katie it is just not a priority at this time, not to mention when and if we put up a cross we would like to do it as a family.

Brent Prayer Alert # 4

Brent had an echo exam this morning and it shows the same as the last echo (nothing has gotten worse or better). They did notice a blood clot that has formed in his heart that is attached to the heart wall. The doctors are consulting other colleagues at Toronto Sick Children's Hospital to find out why the heart rate is so high.

Please pray that they will find some answers and the blod clot will disappear.

Day 265 - Angio went great

The Angio went great and everything is fine. The doctors are still wondering what is causing Brent's heart rate to be faster than it normally should be. Please pray for the doctor's to have knowledge and understanding why and what is causing the high heart rate.

Brent will be having an Angio tomorrow (today as it is past midnight) around 9:00. They are checking his heart as it has been running faster than it should the last few days. It is not pumping properly.

Please pray for guidance of the physicians and those involved and to figure out what is wrong with Brent's heart as it is not pumping properly.

DEVELOPING MEDICAL ISSUES.............

Hey everyone!

This weekend has been a rough ride for the Peterson family. Brent, overall, is not feeling well and his condition deteriorated tonight. Here are the details:

• Brent is now at Royal University Hospital (RUH) here in Saskatoon
• Brent is now back in the ICU (intensive care unit)
• Brent has been losing weight and generally has not been feeling well
• There are some other medical issues occurring that the medical team is investigating
• Scot (with his parents) moved everything out of Brent's room at City Hospital
• Carolyn (Cary) stayed with Brent while the transfer was in progress

Scot and Carolyn (Cary) are obviously concerned and exhausted. Please pray for full healing for Brent and for strength/peace for Scot and Carolyn (Cary).

Brent has been feeling nauseous since Wednesday. He threw up 4 x today.

Brent and Mom went to the Sask Abilities Council and got Brent's Ankle-Foot-Orthotics (AFO's not a UFO) readjusted and some foam padding added. Brent says they are much better to wear now. Thanks Michael.

Brent had wax therapy again today on his hands.

Brent went 120 metres around the big block in Rehab with 3 rest breaks (where he sat down in the wheelchair). Once again Mom had a hard time keeping up with the wheelchair as he was moving very fast again.

Ben came and played Halo 3 ODST with Brent for 2 hours.
Uncle Phil and Pamela came for a visit.
