Day 180 - Brent (ACDC) and his girls

Brent with his ACDC t-shirt. Brent got this shirt from Ken, Jason, and Helen McLean.

Brent and Pastor Shawn with all the girls. I am not too sure about my son anymore. I believe he will have to choose, 5 is too many (right Brent).

Continue to pray for:
Pain in Brent`s left wrist
Pain in Brent back
Pain in Brent`s right shoulder

Highlights:
News of when the back surgery will happen. PTL!!!!!!
Visit from Jason, Ken and Helen (and of course the t-shirt).
Visit from Pastor Shawn (and of course the girls - all 5 of them).
We ordered supper from Chilis (how good did the ribs taste Brent?)

Thank you for your prayers.
Keep hoping. Keep loving. Keep praying.

  3. Let's be clear Scot, there is no choice to make!

The girls sure had a great time visiting yesterday Brent - hope you did too. Neat that Jason & his family came too (nice shirt, by the way:).

I'm praying for your surgery. I know God will guide the surgeon's hands. He won't leave you now bud. He has great plans for your life and I'm excited to see all He has already done for you!

    Love you lots,
    Auntie Jan

  5. I think that your son has another choice to make Scot... Will it be Jesus Christ our Saviour or AC/DC and those who oppose Jesus Christ? Don't wear the shirt if it's a lie. Think about it. So many people have been praying for Brent's recovery. Why do Christians claim salvation in Christ and then live like the world?

  7. Why choose between all those lovely girls when all five seem to be so happy?!!! The more the merrier!! Seriously, we are so thankful to see all the progress pictures! It is great to see how far Brent has come!! We will be praying for the surgery. If possible, could you update me/us on what exactly it is they are hoping to accomplish? Thanks!!

Nice shirt you're wearing with the girls, Brent!!

  9. To the "old friend" who posted the comment about the shirt...
Maybe look at the plank in your own eye before judging the speck in someone else's!!
That shirt was a gracious gift, and a gracious Christian would wear it, so as to not offend the giver of the gift.
Let him who is WITHOUT sin cast the first stone.

Brent, you look handsome in all your pictures, and we continue to pray for you daily. You ARE AN EXCEPTIONAL YOUNG CHRISTIAN MAN!!!

  10. My reply comes from the Word of God:

1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

I did not cast any stones. Sometimes we need to be rebuked in order to see the inconsistencies in our Christian lives. If I had been given the AC/DC shirt I would have graciously declined. I have taken many planks out of my own eyes (do you know me well enough to see others?) I think my sight is good enough now (by God's grace) to at least mention this "speck".

  11. "Old friend" - Perfectly fine that you would have not accepted the shirt. But Brent wanted to wear it and it is his choice. Please do not make this a big arguement/discussion, the family has more to worry about then a shirt. Keep praying for the family and don't focus on what they are wearing or not wearing.

    Brent, keep being strong!

  12. Old friend,

I am sure that you are genuinely concerned for and love the Peterson family, but it is tragic that you deemed it appropriate to use this venue as your platform to express 'rebuke'. I'm sure it has caused hurt to many people who care and give out of their heart of compassion.
