We went to Regina as Brent had some doctor's appointments. He saw his Pediatric Surgeon and we discussed the possibility of reversing the ileostomy. He saw his vascular surgeon and everything looks good. He also saw his back surgeon and the x-ray showed that everything is fine and good.
We will be going down to Regina for 2 to 3 days sometime after Easter to get some tests and x-rays done to see if Brent's ileostomy can be reversed. Brent will also be getting a CT scan and other testing done to check on his artificial graft to make sure it is doing well.

Well Buddy, you have been one busy guy. You seem to have grown several inches in the past year. Those doctors have to "look up to you". Thanks for the wonderful up-date. Love you tons. Well done Cary and Scot.

So special to go back and acknowledge the people who cared for you when they didn't know if you would make it or not. I can't imagine how exciting and encouraging your visit was to them. I know I love seeing you regularly and how you have seamlessly transitioned into a regular 15 year old boy!!! Cute as all but you have that teenage attitude at times too:) Good thing I love ya bud!
ReplyDeleteYou are my inspiration daily.

``Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water
that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit.``

Hi you all,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear of your progress,Brent, and also as a family. The postings you give are an encouragement to all of us to keep praying. We meet Grandma & Grandpa Neufeld periodically and ask of you then, too. I agree with others who say you have grown. It is great to hear you are attending half days. I'll bet school is more fun than ever.
With our continued prayers---
